Ayano:  hey, you made it.

Shujin: Yeah, I thought about not coming because your story was crazy. 

Ayano:  My friend Kate, she want me to find her. She told me to find her and look in the back of this building. She got lost in a forest behind here. I had to come. She is one my only friends.

Ayano:  She would always talk with me about my adventures and answer all my strange questions. She didn't care about what I said. She was always there to say something.We have to find her. She can't find her way back.

Shujin:  So she is lost? She couldn't just call the police or her parents.

Ayano:  I don't know. But I know she needs our help. I think her situation is connected to a story I read on the web. I hope I am wrong.

Ayano:  The story claims that a secret forest will appear in this forest when the Sun goes down. The Sun looks like it is about to go down now. We do not have much time.

Shujin:  Don't tell me. You are always talking about a scary story that might be true. 

Shujin:  I don't want to hear about your stories today. I just came because...... I......I didn't want you to go alone.

Ayano:  But, I think we could make a good couple. You always want to travel with me and solve my cases. Even if there are illegal cases because I am still a high school student.

Shujin:  Cases, you mean the cases you come up with so you pretend to be a detective. 

Shujin:  What you look for in these cases?

Ayano:  I am looking for answers Shujin. Answers to make sense of stuff I don't know. 

Ayano:  It's my hobby too. Finding spirits that helps the world make a little more sense.

(jump)

Shujin:  Yes, I like you. I....

Ayano:  Don't say. I know you did. Let's talk about it later. We need to find Kate.

Shujin:  Lets go. 

Ayano:  Hmmm. 

(Walking)

Ayano:  It is getting dark. Did you bring a flash light?

Ayano:  Make sure you stay close to me ok. I don't want anything bad to happen to you. 

Shujin:  Nothing bad is going to happen. I am pretty tough. I think.

Ayano: The Sun is setting now. We don't have much time. Let's look for a clue quick. There got to be one along this path.

(Walking)

Ayano:  Do you see something?

Shujin:  I don't watch detective movies too much and I don't want to be out here all night.

Ayano:  Now, we are looking for a girl and we need to look for something that belongs to a girl.

Shujin:  Yes, I see something. I see a bookbag in the distance. Further up the path. 

Ayano:  Great, you might be a good detective yet. You have the eye. The eye of a crow that see a dead corpse a few miles away.

Ayano: Hey,  I see a bookbag up head. It looks pink. Lets take a look at it. It is on a tree looks like.

Shujin:  Alright. 

(Touch Bag)

Ayano:  Its the bag that Kate uses. It looks like her bag

Shujin:  Lets look in it. 

Ayano:  There doesn't seem to be anything in here. Hmmm, where is she? 

Shujin:  Look over there I see something. It glows. I can't get a good look. Its to far. 

Ayano:  We need to check out the glow. It might help us us find Kate. I am going to take a picture of this bookbag.

Ayano:  Lets follow the path off the main path. I wonder what it could be.

Ayano:  The.......Monster might be....there is a story that connects a glow to the.....

Shujin:  Do not say it right now. Let's just go.

(Walking)

Shujin:  Its almost dark. I can barely see the sunlight now. The trees are darker. 

Ayano:  Relax, we got a flashlight. 

Shujin:  The thing is I haven't been jogging lately. My run system is very weak. I do not want to run tonight. 

Ayano:   Well, ghost are not real in your book so nothing is going to happen. 

Shujin:   This place, We getting deeper and deeper in this forest. 

Shujin:  We could get lost in here.

Shujin:  And things like to come out at night you know. Dark things. How much longer? 

Ayano:  Not that long hopefully. The light is leading us somewhere.

(walking)

Shujin:  Are we getting closer? The Sun is out.

Ayano:  I don't know. It is really dark. Turn that light on. 

Shujin:  Yeah. Let me turn it on. Its way too dark.

(walking)

Ayano:  The dark is nice and quiet you know. Do you think so?

Shujin:  No, I wish I didn't come here. I like you Ayano but this is too much. Bringing us way out here. 

Ayano:  Kate is my friend ok. We have to go look for her.

Shujin:  Look, I agreed to help you with this case. I like doing these stories with you. Pretending to be a detective and stuff. But this is dangerous.

Shujin:  What happens if we get lost huh? 

Ayano:  We are not going to get lost. All we have to do is retrace our steps. Stop complaining about this. 

Shujin:  Stop complaining. Look where we at. We are the middle of......

Ayano:  Hey, its not like your doing anything right now. All you do look at that box at your house. You forget its just a box. 

Ayano:  Sometimes, you need to see the adventure with your own two eyes. There is a old story aligned with seeing. 

Ayano:  A person can not see and hear by themselves. They can only see or hear. 

Ayano:  They need someone by their side to see the full picture. Its from the ancient Sanskirt Hindu book.

Shujin:  Yes, I like quiet places. There is so much noise in the world. 

Ayano:  Yes, I agree. 

Shujin:  The quiet helps me keep my sanity. People are always talking and arguing.They never know when to shut up. They don't know which way is right or wrong. They talk too much.

Ayano: Hmmmm.....the quiet is needed in a person's life. I like your opinion though.

Ayano:  The woods are changing. Look at the trees. 

Shujin:  No, this is.....crazy. 

Ayano:  The sky is turning red for some reason. 

Shujin:  I want to go home now.

(Forest Change)

Ayano:  The forest is all different. Everything looks scarier than before. All the green is purple now. 

Shujin:  Ok, tell me about the story now. The one about this forest and monster. What is it about? 

Ayano:  I can only tell you what I heard on a creepy pasta and what I saw on a forum post. 

Ayano:  But Ok, there is a legend that mention a story about a man. He went through a experiment in the woods. 

Ayano:  The man wanted to become smarter. The man volunteered for a test that wasn't fully tested. 

Ayano:  The man had trouble reading which prevented him from finding work. He would fail every test offered. He couldn't read the job applications and he couldn't read directions that someone gave him.

Ayano:  There was a scientist named Mr. Kimick and the scientist offered the man a solution to his problem.

Ayano:  The scientist brought him to the woods and shot something in his neck. At first, the man was smart and satisfied with the results. 

Ayano:  But, it wasn't enough for the man. He wanted to be smarter. So, he asked for more. More experimentation.

Ayano:  The scientist gave the man what he wanted, but he made him more animal. A little bit at first. 

Ayano:  The man saw his intelligence reach higher then the first time and demanded more injections. 

Ayano:  The scientist refused. He told the man it was too risky for his sanity.

Ayano:  The man then decided to kill the scientist and his workers. He took all the injections that was available. 

Ayano:  It turned him into a monster. He was looked more monkey then human. But not entirely. He was something else.

Ayano:  The man looked in the mirror. 

Ayano:  He did not like what he saw. He knew he went too far and decided to break the mirror. 

Ayano:  Then, he put on a red mask to hide his face. This happened 40 years ago. But, some say the man still roams in these woods though.

Shujin:  You think he is still alive?

Ayano: The odds are low. It is just a story. Let's look way out of here.

    I always wanted to go somewhere. Well, anywhere but…….I haven’t been happy lately. Feeling out of place and out of life pretty much. There are days when you need a break. A break from work. A break from a stupid boyfriend. A break from family that never understands why you need to do things a little differently. Today, was one of those days. One of those days where I just had go and leave. I just had to. A drive into the violet le coucher du soleil. I wonder if my best friend Patty would be interested. Hmm……..

***Vanessa walks to Patty’s house for a evening snack.

(Scene 1: The visit):

Vanessa: Hey

Patty: Hey back (wink)

Vanessa: So, what you doing?

Patty: watching The Cube

Vanessa: oooohhhh, that’s my shit right there.

Patty: yeah yeah

Vanessa: So Patty you want to get out of here

Patty: Well....I uh

Patty: My mom wants me to grow up and shit

Patty: and like I don’t feel like doing that you know because its boring to be responsible and you know

Vanessa: Yep, my mommie is the same cause we getting older and people want us to be adult like and its like

Patty and Vanessa: Lame

Vanessa: So, I saw this ad in the magazine for Fast Bullet Ocean and its suppose to be a good place to relax and stuff

Patty: Fast Bullet Ocean sounds like a joke, did you check the ad long enough

Vanessa: Yas, I did, I did do it, so like I was saying,

Vanessa: Its a nice place to relax and forget about your stupid day to day problems and stuff

Vanessa: Patty listen we need a break ok

Patty: Yeah we do but where are we going to get the money for this

Patty: dreams are nice until money part comes in 

Patty: Your idea sucks

Vanessa: Hey, I have the money

Patty: So you got  some cheese

Vanessa: I got the cheese, my birthday was last week remember and I still got that cheese.

Patty: Oh really

Vanessa: (rolls her eyes)

Pattty: Don’t you have a crazy spending problem?

Patty: You can’t keep 100 bucks in your bank account for anything

Vanessa: look, I’m different now ok, ok I’m better with my bank stuff and other stuff , I’m just better, I got the money so….

Vanessa: So, like you in or what?

Patty: (Looks at her and snares tightly )

Patty: shit, why not I'm not working any how, lets go

Patty: Let me pack the stuff and the stuff

Vanessa: Yeah, the stuff and the stuff

Vanessa: Ok, so I am going to go back home to get my stuff and then we can get my dad’s car and go.

Patty: sure

Vanessa: sure Patty?

Patty: Hey, I said sure and I mean sure

 (Scene 2: The Talk on the Road)

*********Vanessa and Patty get inside the red Porsche and hit the highway road. Vanessa drives the car and Patty stares at the pink clouds. A couple hours go by. The car drives on the highway and is switched into cruise control. The road goes on for miles. They drive on the highway and pass through a big city. Then, Patty speaks to Vanessa and ask her about life.

Vanessa: hey you feeling good.

Patty: Yes, I am thinking about stuff, like stuff.

Vanessa: So, are you going to tell me what really bothering you.

Patty: yeah, my life is a mess.

Vanessa: A mess, seems to fine to me.

Patty: My life is kind of not going right.

Patty: I haven’t told my parents what is going on.

Patty: I am trying to find work but it is not working.

Patty: I am trying to make things work the way

Patty: The way

Patty: (Patty cries)

Vanessa: look, you got to relax alright.

Vanessa: I know you been trying and stuff.

Vanessa: your family is just mean, they always putting you down.

Vanessa: You have to keep trying you know.

Patty: I know, I know, But, its like

Patty: Nobody cares or acknowledges the effort I put into job searching

Patty: The effort I put into making my life work the way

Patty: The way I want it to, they never

Patty: They never show any appreciation

Patty: I think

Vanessa: Maybe your

Patty: Wait Vanessa, look, alright,

Patty: My family causes me so much pain

Patty: I am trying to get my life in order

Patty: They just don’t care maybe they don't see it

Vanessa: Well you know

Vanessa: My family has been on my back too

Vanessa: I really need this road trip

Vanessa: My family has been blaming me for all sorts of things when

Vanessa: I just lost my job last week
Vanessa: I didn't even see it coming
Vanessa: They fired me over making a simple mistake
Vanessa: There has been lay offs in recent months but they fired me over making a mistake

Vanessa: Family keep asking me, when you going to get a job

Patty: They don't understand the pain that comes with hearing them say it

Vanessa: hey, we both dealing with that now
Vanessa: that is why we took this drive and just left

Vanessa: look, everything is going to be fine

Vanessa: let just change the subject for now, we can help each other get jobs when we get back

Patty: ok

Vanessa: So, I was thinking about going to the beach and working on a tan

Patty: A tan, you could use one

Patty: you hardly leave the house, your glued to your computer

Vanessa: I love my computer, it never tells me bad news unless I want to hear it

Vanessa: my computer is everything to me

Patty: you realize it is just a machine right?

Vanessa: so what, sometimes machines make you happy while people don’t. I need some happiness from time to time.Even if it is artificial happiness. Better then no happiness.

Vanessa: What you think life is?

Patty: life is what you make it some people say

Patty: I think life is something that makes you feel alive

Vanessa: Maybe

Vanessa: It might be that or it might be that life is what you call it

Patty: what you call it?

Vanessa: A day to be happy

Patty: I will go with that

Vanessa: yeah, you would

Patty: yeah

Vanessa: hey I been depressed lately

Patty: I think we are all depressed

Patty: life is just full of crap you don’t want to see
Patty: year after year, it just keep repeating

Vanessa: you should stop thinking that way

Patty: we all trying but is that enough

Patty: enough to make things work the way they should

Vanessa: well, I am still depressed.

Vanessa: I want it to stop, tired of looking at things I hate
Vanessa: I wish I could turn the switch off for just a day. Pretend like everything is fine.

Patty: we all are, but you got to keep moving
Patty: you stop moving and you will die

Patty: hey, stop saying your depressed, even on the sad days
Patty: we all depressed these days. 

Vanessa: you know I am very emotional and I think about my life a little too much at certain times, but I feel it makes me more

Patty: more alive, you always been like that, you always been thinking deep on things

Patty: Vanessa, promise me that you will shut your mind off at times, your mind is not always right,

Patty: Sometimes, you need to not think. Let life sort itself out by itself.

Vanessa: why you say?

Patty: Sometimes, you need to do things and stop worrying about the outcomes, you don’t always know the outcomes

Vanessa: but uh

Patty: well, think what you want

Vanessa: yeah, hahahahhaha

Vanessa: hey, get some sleep, I am going to drive the rest of the way, I will wake you when we get there

Patty: no loud music please, I want to get some relaxing sleep

Vanessa: ok, ok

Patty and Vanessa travel to their destination and they try to find something. Something that will make their life seem more right. Give them the peace of mind they been looking for their whole life. The drive allowed them let out some things out. They needed the talk and the space.

Intro: A car is moving down a road. It is night and the car swerves because of some in the way. A group of college students get involved in a car accident. The time of day is 2:00am and the weather is snowing slowly. They survived the accident. But, will they survive the night?


Tony: what just......
Kate: It.......(sigh)
Trey: My car....is finished
Trey: fuck, what am I going to tell my parents
Trey: I told you not to drive it fast Tony
Trey: You, you gotta pay for this man
Tony: hey something in the way, chill
Tony: ………
Tony: I couldn't see what it was. It just ran across the bumber
Tony: what was that, I mean it was so......so
Kate:I can't get a signal with my phone. Can you guys get a call
Trey: let me see…….shit
Trey: nothing, Tony you getting a signal
Tony: Not getting a signal either
Trey: This has to be a dream, right, a dream
Kate: Its not a dream, Trey we need to deal with this, we need to deal with this
Kate: I’m getting really cold, we got to……..
Kate: Find a house or someone that can call 911
Trey: Ok, Ok, we got to look for help and I got to deal with the bullshit when I get home.
Trey: God dam car, there is no way I can afford another car right now. Its my last year of college. I am tight on cash.
(stranger): help me, help me
Trey:  What, where is that
Kate: it coming from there, maybe it is
Tony: I cant see, its too dark, I see a light, its behind some trees, lets have a look
Trey: Maybe we can get some transportation


They run to the sound of the voice and move through trees A small light shines in the distance. A blue light that shows some type of gate. There is a forest but it looks like a door deep in the forest. The cold wind blows on their back. They walk through the trees covered with snow to see a stranger. They see a building with a strange logo. They also see a gate with a person holding on to the entrance.


Tony: Its really cold guys lets keep quiet until we get to the light. Save your energy.
Trey: Yeah mate.
Kate: .......
Kate: you ok, you look so?
Stranger: no, no,
Stranger: something tried to get me
Stranger: It was eating me and it
Kate: what do you mean
Stranger: A man went crazy and started biting people, something went wrong with the virus
Trey: A virus, what virus man
Stranger: look at me , I need you to................
Trey: look we would like to help but we have our own problems.
Trey: we just came from a car accident and we can’t call for help
Trey: we can’t help you, I’m sorry
Stranger: there is a phone inside the building that is connected to the land line, you can use it to call the police
Stranger: …………………….
Trey: it’s ice cold, we need to look for a better jacket too
Stranger: here is the key, you need to (hiyeeirr)
Tony: Whats wrong with him
Stranger: ………………..
Stranger: ……………………
Kate: .......................(she gasp)
Tony: he looks dead
Trey: ok this is crazy lets just walk away and pretend we didn't see anything
Tony: walk away to what, we are in the middle of no where and we will freeze to death if we can’t pull that alarm or reach that phone
Kate: I’m cold, my jacket is not enough, lets go to the building
Kate: let’s go
Trey: alright, lets
